Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms apply to purchases of SupportKit AI (the "Software"). The Software is made and sold by the author of SupportKit AI ("we", "us") through the Gumroad store linked from this website. By buying, downloading or using the Software you ("you", the "buyer") agree to these terms.
1. Purchases and Merchant of Record
The Software is sold through our online reseller Gumroad, which is the Merchant of Record for your order. Gumroad handles payment, invoicing, sales tax/VAT, refunds and all order and billing questions under its own terms.
2. What you receive
After payment you receive a download link to a ZIP file containing the full source code of the Software and its documentation. The Software is a starter kit for developers. Running it requires your own hosting, database and third-party accounts (for example an e-mail provider, Anthropic, Stripe, Google or Apple), which are subject to those providers' own terms and fees.
3. Licence
When you buy a licence, you may:
- use the Software to build any number of your own end products, commercial or not;
- modify the Software in any way for use in those end products;
- deploy end products built with the Software for your own customers, whether as SaaS, client work or internal tools.
A licence covers the buyer: you as an individual, or your company and its employees if you buy for a company.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, share or redistribute the Software or substantial parts of it, modified or not, as source code, a template, a starter kit, a boilerplate or a competing product;
- publish the Software in a public repository;
- remove the licence file or copyright notice from the source code.
The full licence text is included in the download as LICENSE.md. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. Breach of the licence
If you breach the licence, it ends automatically and you must stop using and delete the Software. We may take action to have unauthorised copies removed, including notices to the platforms that host them, and to recover our losses.
5. One-time payment
Your purchase is a one-time payment for the version of the Software available on the date of purchase, which you may use forever. Updates, maintenance and technical support are not included.
6. Your responsibility after purchase
Once you buy the Software, you alone are responsible for it and for everything you build and run with it. This includes:
- the security of your products, servers, accounts, API keys and secrets, including following security practices such as the OWASP Top 10;
- reviewing, testing and auditing the code before you use it in production, and keeping it and its dependencies up to date;
- your users and customers: their accounts, the protection of their personal data, and any security incident, data breach, hack, outage or loss that affects them;
- compliance with every law that applies to your business, such as data-protection, consumer, tax and e-commerce law;
- checking the licences of all third-party packages and services before you launch, and again whenever you update them;
- your relationship with third-party providers you connect (hosting, payments, e-mail, AI and sign-in providers).
7. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
The security measures described on our website (including references to the OWASP Top 10) describe how the Software was designed. They are not a guarantee that the Software, or any product you build with it, is free of vulnerabilities. Security features reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Before using the Software in production, you are responsible for reviewing and testing it, keeping its dependencies up to date, and carrying out any security audit your use requires.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage or loss arising from the Software or from products built with it, including security incidents, hacks, data breaches, loss of data, loss of profits or revenue, business interruption, claims by your users or customers, and any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, damage, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) brought by your users, customers or any third party that arises from your products, your use of the Software, or your breach of these terms or of the law.
10. Third-party components and their licences
The Software depends on open-source packages, each used under its own licence (mostly MIT, Apache-2.0, ISC and BSD). They are listed in THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.md in the download, as they were on the date of release. Those licences apply to those packages.
Third-party packages, services and their licences or terms can change at any time, including in versions you install or update later. Before you launch or sell a product built with the Software, and whenever you update its dependencies, you are responsible for checking that every package, service, font, icon and asset you use is licensed for your intended use. We are not responsible for changes to third-party licences or terms, or for your use of third-party components.
11. Refunds
All sales are final. See the Refund Policy.
12. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the seller is resident, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the Software.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law allows it.
If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
13. Orders and billing
For anything about an order, a payment, an invoice or a refund, contact Gumroad support with your order number.
